I. Antes de ver

Imagina que tienes otra vez 10 años. ¿Cómo es tu rutina diaria? Escribe sobre tu rutina usando los verbos y las expresiones en la sección de Estructura 2. Recuerda que (Remember that) tienes 10 años.

Ahora mira el vídeo a continuación sobre dos rutinas paralelas de dos niñas hispanas. ¿Son las rutinas de estas niñas similares a tu rutina de los 10 años? Mira el vídeo para responder esta pregunta.

III. Después de ver

Actividad A. ¿Es tu rutina de los 10 años similar o diferente a la rutina de las niñas? ¿Cuál de las dos rutinas es similar a tu rutina, la de María o la de Sofía? Explica tu respuesta.  

Actividad B. Supporting details: Ahora mira el vídeo otra vez y responde las siguientes preguntas sobre la rutina de cada niña. Escribe un párrafo para cada una con las respuestas a las preguntas.

  9. ¿Qué les gusta ver en la televisión? (Tu instructor/a te puede ayudar con el vocabulario.)

Actividad C. Using the information in the video, describe its main purpose. Justify your opinions. 

Actividad D. What do you think of this video? What is the real objective behind it? Who is the main audience? Do you think the message is positive or negative? Explain.

Actividad E. Do you think this video would work in the US? What content would you include in this country?

Actividad F. Organizational features. How is the video organized? Choose all that apply and explain briefly why you selected each organizational feature—what were the clues in the video? Would you say it is an effective video to communicate the message it wants to convey? Why? Why not?

ILLO 0.4  Conversemos

For this activity, you will work in pairs. Imagine one of you is Sofía or María, and the other, yourself when you were ten. Sofía/María and your 10-year-old self are having a conversation. Introduce yourselves, and then exchange information about your family, school, the house where you live, and your daily routine. The student assuming the role of Sofía/María needs to use the information in the video to provide the required information.
